Shooting a rock at 400 yards
Here’s a piece of kentucky limestone that we painted white and put out about 400 yards. The rock is about 8″ tall and 4″ wide. It pretty much discintegrates when it gets shot. The video was taken with my cell phone through a spotting scope at about 20x power.

BCM AR15 shooting steel at 100 yards
Just a fun day of training at the range. Here, I’m shooting a silhouette steel plate at 100 yards with an AR15 (BCM 16″ Mid-length upper on a Larue Tactical lower). Shooting steel at 100+ yards is not only a lot of fun, but allows you to get instant feedback after you score a hit on the target, so there’s no need to look through a spotting scope to see if you made your hits. The optic used was an Aimpoint Micro T-1 red dot sight. Shortly after the second half of the video starts, when the camera position is changed, I do a speed reload after the first 7 or so rounds fired and utilize the Magpul BAD Lever with my trigger finger to quickly and easily send the bolt home and chamber a fresh round. It’s a great accessory to have for reloads, but the primary benefit the BAD Lever gives the shooter is to very quickly and effortlessly lock the bolt to the rear without taking your hand off fire control. I was shooting into the setting sun as well (which is why you’ll see me lift my head off the butt-stock a few times to reacquire my target), but was surprised at how many hits were made on target nonetheless, mainly because I kept losing the target in the sunlight so I assumed I’d have more misses then I did.
Shooting a watermelon at 300 yards with a 300 Ultra mag
We were looking through the spotting scope with my camera to help zoom in on the melon, it worked pretty good. Foul language warning!
